Everything but the Spider is working with a regional non-profit organization that connects investors and borrowers for community enhancement projects. The organization’s current website is difficult to navigate and cumbersome in the delivery of the overwhelming amount of content. Users of the site cannot find what they are looking for quickly and the site does not work in conjunction with offline marketing materials to build a strong brand.

EBS has been contracted to redesign the site from the ground up. We will be using a content management system to organize the content into searchable user-friendly categories. We have identified the audience(s) and are designing the home page and main sub-site areas to present the information in the most effective manner. We have worked closely with the client to identify subject areas and to narrow the content scope down to a micro-level for enhanced search capabilities and an effective navigational system.

Everything but the Spider is currently building a custom, HIPPA compliant, online software for a clinical therapy practice. We have analyzed the client’s current offline business practices and have developed an online system that will reduce scheduling conflicts, authorization errors that result in lack of payment for services rendered, and administrative time spent locating and entering data. The core of the client system has been built already, along with the insurance authorization/verification processes. We are currently writing the client accounting and therapist payroll systems. The software will be live by the end of the year and will be ready to sell on the marketplace in the Spring of 2011. Check back for more on this product as well as other custom online software for sale.

EBS has worked with a financial consulting firm for several years enhancing their core business model with dynamic statistics, customized proprietary financial projections, and accounting tools. We are currently working on a complete overhaul of their primary infrastructure and online business model. The firm’s core structure is centered around an online system that delivers custom financial projections based on user-entered data. The financial strategists use this system not only as a sales tool but also as the main tangible product delivered with consulting contracts.

The current presentation and infrastructure is slow to load and is not intuitive to persons outside of the financial industry and as such has not been a useful tool for consulting clients to use themselves. They have had to rely on their financial strategists for ongoing use of the system. EBS is doing a complete overhaul of this system to deliver new modules that are not just faster, but are also designed from a customer-centric perspective. The new code is also being written with future programmers in mind so the firm is not tied to one programming company. The modules are well-documented and easy to understand. The proprietary formulas and calculations themselves are isolated to prevent accidental errors as features are added to the site in the future.

Administrators are easily able to gather statistical data on each associate by task category, date range and/or client. This tool enhances administrators’ abilities to manage their associates and track their activities.

Our client is a small business with 15 service providers who work solely in the field rather than in an office environment. When the client came to EBS, administrators were hand entering written records of service dates and times into an Excel ledger based on service providers’ emails sent weekly. Everything but the Spider analyzed the current business practices and proposed an online system in conjunction with a client receipt system that has eliminated data entry errors, reduced lost revenue due to service providers’ tracking errors, and reduced administrative staff time matching client checks to service dates. The system created by EBS has also enhanced client relationships with the company through an increase in professionalism and branding through the offline practices implemented as well as a robust invoicing/statement process that allows clients to match their receipts given at time of service to their online statements produced online.

This application is an excellent example of our projects for small businesses that enhance client management, increase employee accountability, reduce accounts receivable with consistent automatic billing, and make a complex multi-level and percentage based payroll method manageable.

WPRK is a local college radio station who wanted a way for their listeners to see what is playing now and search previous shows and playlists by dj, song, artist, and date played. They also wanted listeners to be able to chat live with djs and other listeners. Everything but the Spider worked directly with djs and station managers to develop a comprehensive relational database for archiving shows, djs, and song information. The site automatically rotates playlists as shows begin and end. Administrators can search for djs statistics as well as which songs were requested the most over various time periods.

This is one example of the types of custom database applications that EBS develops from concept to implementation. Not all database applications are boring! Contact us today to see how we can enhance your site users’ experiences and help promote your current and past activities – whether business related or not.

What good is an extensive data repository if you can’t get at what you need quickly? Everything but the Spider builds complex user-interfaces for searching relational databases. Our client has a database of over 100 tables with intricate relationships. Our team developed a drill-down internal search page for financial consultants to search through large numbers of potential leads with specific dynamic parameters based on their particular requirements. The search module reduces consultants’ time needed to find qualified leads while providing quick customer demographics counts and results for administrators.

Everything but the Spider continues to add search parameters and mathematical calculations based on customer-entered data as the client’s business needs grow and change. This robust framework is the core tool utilized daily by the client’s financial consultants to locate their potential customers.

Contact us today so we can analyze your current business practices and help you determine how to get more out of the data you already have.

Everything but the Spider created an online reservation system that ties into Orlando Airport manifests to check flight information. The site visitor enters all their arriving and departing flight information. Once verified, the site then directs the user to a choice of transportation to and from the airport. The custom eCommerce application adds their choice to a “shopping cart” and then allows them to reserve transportation for more travelers or to check out. Credit card authorization and processing is done through Yahoo’s small business services.

EBS formulated technical specifications and requirements based on the client’s current offline business model. Daily manual tasks were translated into an online application that allowed the client’s staff to focus on sales and customer relationships rather than data entry and comparison. Automated processes were implemented to replace tedious tasks and eliminate human errors.

EBS developed training materials and taught church staff on a one-on-one basis to learn how to make site modifications through an easy to use web-based content management system. Very quickly, novice users were able to make weekly updates, create online newsletters, and manage contact requests.
